First Cross Country Meet of the Season (Wayland, MA)

Kya and Lucas ran their first meet (a 3k) of the season on October 11th with their teammates from the Cambridge Jets (including their friends Eamon and Quinn). Kya ran with the girls 10 and under group, finishing in 11th place (out of 63 runners) with a time of 14:20 (a pace of 7:42). Lucas ran with the boys 10 and under age group and finished in 31st place (out of 113) and was 3rd of all 7 year old boys. His time was 13:57 with a pace of 7:29. As a special bonus, Grammy came straight from the airport and was there to cheer them on! (Click on the image below to see the photo gallery.)

Just a "few" pictures from our trip to bella Italia this summer. We were there for two weeks to visit Shannon in her fabulous new home in Pratola Peligna. We spent most of the two weeks exploring villages, caves, ruins, and the beautiful beaches in the region, meeting and enjoying time with the gracious locals (Domenico and Margaret, seen in many of the photos, were our tour guides and hosts for many meals) and eating gelato (our rule was at least once a day) and amazing food.
